As the festive season draws near, from 21 November the Rinascente department store in Piazza Duomo in Milan and Smeg’s flagship store in via della Moscova will be putting on sale the new citrus juicers and two-slice toasters from the prestigious Sicily is my love collection, a series of exclusive kitchen products made entirely in Italy by Smeg in collaboration with Dolce&Gabbana. Over the next few months, more items will be added to complete this range of accessories.

After a successful start last year when a hundred hand-painted fridges were launched, the design duo pay tribute once again to their homeland by placing their unmistakable stamp on small appliances and embellishing them with iconic motifs from Sicilian culture.

Stunning natural landscapes around Mount Etna and the Valley of the Temples, the warm glow of the sunand cool turquoise waters, beautifully bright blooms of southern scrubland and intricate geometrical patterning are the images that fashion, culture and cinema have led us to associate with this Mediterranean island. A wealth of imagery that has been given a contemporary twist to usher creativity and fun into any kitchen.

Sicily is my love is quite unique in terms of stylishness, originality and exclusiveness and it confirms yet again how much importance Smeg attaches to promulgating the values and beauty of the essence of Italy.
