Get Connected, the magazine of the electrical goods industry, has announced its 2016 winners for their prestigious product design awards. Smeg are delighted to have received, not one, but two winning entries for the iconic Victoria range and our growing collection of small domestic appliances.

Nominated by Get Connected, selections included both new and established products that were available in the UK market during the 12 months from 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2015. Each nomination represents, in the Panel’s judgment, “best in class” qualities, and Smeg feels extremely pleased to have been chosen from among the many entries received. The winning votes were cast by retailers and distributors, cementing our strong and committed relationship with our customers in the industry.

MDA Collections Winner

The Smeg Victoria collection of both built-in and freestanding cooking appliances offers a co-ordinated, classic country-style design for the kitchen. The range includes the Red Dot award-winning , built-in double and single ovens, compact ovens, induction and gas hobs, slim-line 60cm range cookers, chimney hoods and warming drawers.

Small Domestic Appliances Winner

As a relative newcomer to the SDA sector, our first collection of retro-style kettles, toasters, stand mixers and blenders hugely raised the profile of our brand and allowed everyone to have a Smeg product. The SMF01 stand mixer has received five stars from titles including T3, the Daily Mail and Metro newspapers, an iF Design Award and a Good Design Award. Meanwhile, the BLF01 blender received a Red Dot Design Award. The ever expanding collection has recently welcomed its latest addition, the new premium slow juicer, and will continue to grow. Retailers can expect citrus juicers, stick blenders, espresso machines and drip-filter coffee machines in the near future.
