SMEG Aggressively Expands Its Sales Focus, Hiring Jason Sherwood as Northeast Regional Manager

SMEG, the iconic Italian designer appliance manufacturer, announces the hiring of Jason Sherwood as the Northeast Regional Manager for SMEG USA, spearheading the company’s sales efforts in its American home base of the Northeast Corridor, New England, and Mid-Atlantic. Sherwood will be responsible for overseeing interactions with buying groups and kitchen design trade representatives in the region, and will manage major appliance sales throughout the area.

“Jason was already familiar with SMEG as a brand, and really seemed to understand our underlying philosophy,” said Paul McCormack, the brand’s national-level Director of Sales and Marketing, continuing, “his excitement about the innovations SMEG has already brought to the appliance industry, and his enthusiasm to build on those successes moving forward really speak to the reason he’s in his new position. Hailing from Annapolis, Md., and so, a native of the region he will be managing, Sherwood is an alum of the German appliance brand Miele, as well as a previous long-time member of the mobile device, application, and security community at Blackberry, culminating in a role with the enterprise server team there. He brings a wealth of sales experience in multiple industries to SMEG, as well as a strong rooting in kitchen design, critical to SMEG’s identity. His cosmopolitan educational and industry background will give him a diverse perspective on the company’s efforts as it moves forward.
