Smeg joins the cast of the Great Australian Bake Off

The new season of FOXTEL Original series, The Great Australian Bake Off, begins Wednesday September 18 at 8:30pm AEST on LifeStyle, or watch on demand.

Smeg returns as the official appliance partner of the much-loved hit series, providing all major and small appliances.

Judged by global culinary icon Rachel Khoo and Australia’s King of Pastry, chef Darren Purchese, and hosted by comedians Natalie Tran and the late Cal Wilson, season seven of The Great Australian Bake Off sees 12 diverse amateur baking enthusiasts put through a series of challenges.

Each episode contains three themed baking challenges – Signature, Technical, and Showstopper. At the end of each episode, one contestant is named Star Baker and one is eliminated, until one is ultimately crowned Australia’s Best Amateur Baker.

Assisting the bakers to express their creativity and create culinary magic will be Smeg Classic ovens and cooktops as well as a full collection of award-winning small appliances including stand mixers, coffee machines, hand blenders and more.  Curvaceous Smeg FAB fridges, in a palette of classic Smeg colours, will also adorn the iconic Bake Off shed.

Smeg is also pleased to be the major prize partner for the season, with the winner receiving the 'Ultimate Baker's Kitchen,' complete with refrigerator, microwave, stand mixer, hand blender, food processor and a range of other appliances.
