Porsche x SMEG wins the 2026 Plus X Award

A jury of industry experts has honored the Porsche x SMEG collaboration in the categories of High Quality, Design, Ease of Use and Functionality, as an extraordinary appliance collection, combining automotive engineering and Italian design.

The Porsche x SMEG appliance collection has been honored with the prestigious 2026 Plus X Award. An expert jury made up of trade journalists, designers, and industry specialists commended SMEG for its meticulous workmanship, durable materials, and high-end technical components within the line. In addition to the design language, the choice of surfaces and colours and the overall quality of the appliances also played a key role in awarding the collection.

Porsche x Smeg takes home the Plus X Award 2026

The Plus X Award has been presented to the full Porsche x SMEG collection recognising the elements of both automotive engineering and Italian design. At its centre is a strictly limited release of 1,970 numbered pieces of both a striking red FAB28 refrigerator and a matching bean-to-cup coffee machine. Inspired by the legendary Porsche 917 KH in its iconic Salzburg livery - the car that delivered Porsche its first overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970 - the 2 limited editions appliances were are adorned in Salzburg Red, acknowledging this historic moment.

The collaboration also includes two additional ranges in Carrara White and Shade Green - two distinctive Porsche hues reinterpreted through the lens of SMEG design. A curated suite of the brand’s most celebrated appliances, including the FAB28 fridge, toaster, kettle and blender, are elevated with signature Porsche detailing: matte black accents, subtle striping, and clean, sculptural forms.
