Dishwashing experts for over 50 years, from designing the industry-first 14-place-setting dishwasher, to pioneering orbital washing system technology, SMEG has once again reimagined its dishwasher line with the end user in-mind. Adding the customer-favorite full-console control panel to the selection, expanding the range of place-setting and rack configurations, enlarging internal tub space with improved tub and door designs, and offering second upper spray arms on the top rack on some models are just a few of the new additions to the line. Meanwhile, the entire aesthetic design and functionality was also improved, generally, inside-and-out.

Planetarium Wash System

SMEG’s Planetarium Wash System is equipped with patented technology that ensures maximum wash coverage within the tub via an innovative double simultaneous motion of the spray arm. “Planetary movement” is the key to this technology, with the main wash arm revolving clockwise on its axis, while the stem rotates in the opposite direction around a second axis. This sprays water evenly in a 360° sweep at approximately 65 RPMs, resulting in sparkling clean dishes, and the best wash results available.

Installed on high-end SMEG dishwasher models, this special top cutlery basket, known as “Flexi-Duo,” consists of two separate and movable trays which can be adjusted individually, or removed entirely, depending on your loading needs.
