SMEG APPOINTS GISELA MUSSEN AS GENERAL MANAGER FOR CANADIAN OPERATIONS

(ITALY, September 2022) – The famous Italian luxury appliance manufacturer, SMEG, known worldwide for its fusion of high-technology and exquisite design, announced, Gisela Mussen in the role of General Manager for Canada, managing SMEG’s efforts in the country as the newest subsidiary, based in Toronto. This will be the first time that SMEG has a direct presence based in Canada, reflecting the increasing-importance of the Canadian market to the company’s efforts in North America.

Previously holding leadership roles within KitchenAid Canada, Wal-Mart, Sears, and Hudson’s Bay Company, Mussen’s experience and connections are expected to help build a strong foundation for SMEG’s strategic partnerships in Canada, immediately helping to overcome existing barriers in the marketplace. As General manager for Canada, she has a focused ability to expand a business strategically from ground up and foster great long-term partnerships, wherever she goes. Mussen brings to the table a unique “out of the box thinking” and a love of retailing. Leading with passion and realism, she brings a unique, diverse view to the Smeg group.
