Cooking with Smeg

PIANO DESIGN: TECHNIQUE AND BEAUTY

When design combines with the universal language of architecture, aesthetics and functionality merge into a lasting story, constant over time but never the same. The Piano Design cooker hob is the result of a collaboration between a company like Smeg and a prestigious studio such as Piano Design.

He is known as the architect of light: Renzo Piano is the architect of public and private works that have changed the landscape of international architecture. Just think of The Shard in London, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the reconstruction of the Potsdamer Platz area in Berlin, or the more recent Bridge of Genoa. Structures with universal expressive value, dialoguing with the cultural fabric of the place in which they are located.

The architectural foundation of stability, which conceives the works as intended to last over time, dialogues, in the vision of architect Renzo Piano, with the experimentation of materials and the attempt to merge art and technique.

It is precisely from the desire to conceive works that are aesthetically beautiful and intended to last over time that Smeg embarked on its historic collaboration with the Piano Design studio, culminating in the creation of the Piano Design range of hobs of the same name.

The know-how developed by Smeg over more than 70 years of manufacturing Made in Italy design appliances is enriched with a long-term vision typical of architectural design. Hence the timeless appeal of the Piano Design range, which has always been able to synthesise art and technology in a collection of designer gas hobs.

Piano Design Cooktops

Single-material gas cooktops, completely made of stainless steel, in which design meets functionality. The seamless continuous surface reflects soft light, interspersed with rounded burners and geometric grills, creating a perfectly harmonious contrast. The bright and elegant Ever Shine stainless steel grates ensure quality performance over time and minimize surface burnishing.
