Intuitive and elegant, the new range of Smeg induction hobs make cooking easier than ever before and ensure optimum safety within the kitchen.
Induction hobs are a popular choice for many reasons; their contemporary style integrates perfectly into any kitchen, they are faster than gas (taking just over a minute to heat a pint of water), and they offer great energy savings.
Their appeal is continuing to grow thanks to their precise temperature control when doing intricate cooking or simmering, they are child friendly as heat is only generated when the pan comes into direct contact of the specific cooking zone, and they are easy to keep clean as spills can be simply wiped away.
Smeg are pleased to introduce a new range of induction hobs featuring a number of improvements to the previous offerings and some new additions to further extend the current range. These include a totally renewed design, new materials, new controls and a number of technological advances which has created the best Smeg induction range yet!
The Linea and Eclipse black glass induction additions feature a minimal and clean appearance. They offer new options within the Smeg induction range, to co-ordinate with Linea and Dolce Stil Novo appliances.
The new finishing on these hobs boasts a glossy finish with elegant transparencies, available in a new silver tone.
ECLIPSE BLACK GLASS
The black eclipse glass, with no visible screen printing, combines an elegant minimal design with maximum flexibility in terms of performance.
There are also a number of universal options available.
A choice of controls is now available, whether you prefer white or red LEDs, 'hidden' controls which are only visible when the hob is in action or want to stick to something more traditional, there is something available for everyone.
Choose from; Muilti-sliders, Evo sliders, compact sliders or digi touch controls.
But its not just the design which has been improved. New Smeg induction hobs feature innovative technologies that allow even more practical and immediate food preparation.
You no longer have to worry about activating the right area of the hob thanks to Autopot Detection. This function is dedicated to automatically detecting pots and pans, so you just need to select your cooking level.
The cooking surface has become more flexible and a single sliding movement can now activate the MultiZone function, which expands the cooking area and adapts to the shape and size of different pots.
The new range of induction hobs also include specific functions to improve energy savings such as the Double Booster - an extra gear to consume less and quickly reach the desired temperature, or the new Eco-Logic Advance system which limits the power of the hob, from a minimum of 2.4 kW, helping with energy savings and provides added versatility in the kitchen.
60cm wide new induction hobs (SIM1643DS, SIM3643D, SI4642D, SI4642B, SI2641D) have the same cut out as our 60cm gas hobs offering the perfect replacement in the kitchen. The SI4742D, 75cm width new induction hob can also offer this, allowing you to easily update your kitchen from a 60cm smeg gas hob to a 75cm induction hob without modifying any of your cabinets!
Models with straight edges also offer the added flexibility of dual installation options. They can be installed either ultra low or fully flushed depending on your preference.
