Food and Kindness, The Sobell House Cook Book.

As an Italian brand, Smeg are extremely passionate about good food, for us it plays a big part in everyday life. In Italy, we often eat together in large extended family groups, enjoying fresh ingredients cooked simply with a great deal of love and care. Our team of home economists use the same attention to detail and appreciation of food when developing our recipes, from making fresh pasta to creating truly authentic Italian dishes. We believe that the kitchen should be the heart of any home, where families come together to enjoy great food.

Smeg are also passionate about supporting local causes where we can, investing back into the community. This year we are delighted to be supporting Sobell House, a fantastic and valuable service that supports patients and their families throughout end of life care in Oxfordshire, a cause that is very close to our hearts. As a family run business, Smeg believes that "Famiglia รจ tutto!" meaning "family is everything". This is one of the reasons why we are extremely proud to support this project and the important work Sobell House does for families in the community.

We are delighted to support such an amazing and worthwhile charity - Mike Giddings, Managing director at SmegUK.

During lockdown Sobell House have been busy creating their cook book aptly titled Food and Kindness, The Sobell House Cook Book.

The book aims to raise awareness and funds for the hospice as well as recognising local business in the food and drink industry, like Smeg, who's UK head office is based just 10 miles away from Sobell house.

RECIPES

The book contains a variety of delicious recipes, some of which have been prepared by our home economists:

Once you've made your way through these traditional Italian dishes, why not try the indulgent chocolate Mary Berry cake recipe - all of which are listed under our dedicated recipes section.
