PIANO DESIGN: TECHNIQUE AND BEAUTY

"From the Spoon to the City": what relationship between Design and Architecture?

He is known as the architect of light: Renzo Piano is the architect of public and private works that have changed the landscape of international architecture. Just think of The Shard in London, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the reconstruction of the Potsdamer Platz area in Berlin, or the more recent Bridge of Genoa. Structures with universal expressive value, dialoguing with the cultural fabric of the place in which they are located.

The architectural foundation of stability, which conceives the works as intended to last over time, dialogues, in the vision of architect Renzo Piano, with the experimentation of materials and the attempt to merge art and technique.

It is precisely from the desire to conceive works that are aesthetically beautiful and intended to last over time that Smeg embarked on its historic collaboration with the Piano Design studio, culminating in the creation of the Piano Design range of hobs of the same name.
