These are the qualities that have earned the Isola induction hob and the SMEG Soda Maker a place in the ADI Design Index 2026, the first volume of the two-year selection process that identifies the products competing for the Compasso d’Oro ADI 2028.
Curated by ADI’s Permanent Design Observatory, the ADI Design Index is one of the most authoritative references for contemporary Italian design. The selection highlights projects distinguished by originality, functional and typological innovation, manufacturing processes, material research and formal synthesis, with particular attention paid to sustainability, usability, interaction and Design for All principles.
Within this framework, SMEG’s recognition celebrates two projects that address contemporary needs through different solutions united by a shared design vision.
