WHAT IS NEW FROM SMEG AT THE HOMI 2018 TRADE FAIR

25/01/2018

Smeg will be unveiling the latest additions to its retro ‘50s Style at the HOMI 2018 trade fair, the important lifestyle event due to take place in Milan from 26 to 29 January. This exhibition anticipates the latest trends in contemporary living, boasting more than ten display spaces dedicated to people's styles and surrounds.

First and foremost, the product range has been extended to include an uncommonly chic white shade available for the CJF01WHEU citrus juicer, the ECF01WHEU coffee machine and theBLF01WHEU blender. Ideal for any kind of interior décor, this option perfectly rounds off an already extensive colour lineup.
But most of all, Milan Trade Fair will be the perfect occasion for SMEG to proudly launch two new products: the TSF03 four-slice toaster and the DCF01 filter-coffee machine.
The four-slice toaster is the ultimate solution for large families: it can accommodate 4 pieces of bread at the same time, but can also be used to toast only 2 slices. With a painted steel body, it comes equipped with two pairs of wide slots, each with its own control button and crumb tray.
A wattage of 2000 means the bread is heated and crisped in next to no time, not to mention the self-centring and automatic lift functions. Then, it even has six browning settings and three pre-set options for heating, defrosting and bagel modes, as well as the option of several useful accessories: sandwich tongs and a bun-warmer.
Its sleek chrome finish, the backlit knobs, cable compartment and non-skid feet are just four more superb design features of this easy-to-use appliance where refinement and functionality converge.
The filter-coffee machine has been endowed with an Autostart control enabling users to programme the coffee-brewing cycle with total accuracy, while the Keep-Warm function means your pot of coffee will stay hot for 20 minutes. It is also possible to choose between a delicate or intense aroma, and the 1.4-litre water tank includes an indicator and a regulation mechanism. Last but not least, an indicator light will come on to warn you when it is time to descale.
From an aesthetic and ergonomic point of view, this product is totally in keeping with the SMEG standards of simplicity and technological elegance: the filter-coffee machine comes equipped with a simple and user-friendly control panel and the clock / lever-operated digital timer makes it quick and hassle-free. The permanent filter with a handle is straightforward to fill and clean.

With a brewing capacity of ten cups and a wattage of 1050, the filter-coffee machine allows you to save time and money, but most of all, and just like the four-slice toaster, it is an appliance that encapsulates the design and innovation philosophy which has made SMEG’s ‘50s retro Style a design icon in Italy and all over the world.

The collection will be showcased at pavilion 4 on the Zwilling Group B16/D09 stand
