WHAT IS TRITAN™ RENEW ?

Tritan Renew material with 50% certified recycled content* is made with innovative molecular recycling that recycles hard-to recycle plastic waste to create new materials.

Tritan Renew is made with a different kind of recycling, molecular recycling, which uses waste plastic instead of fossil-based resources as raw materials. This technology breaks down hard-to-recycle plastic waste into its basic building blocks to create new, pristine materials.

By replacing traditional fossil-based resources with recycled content, plastic waste is diverted from landfills while reducing greenhouse gas emissions over time.

Smeg has obtained the ISCC Plus Certification which guarantee transparency along this molecular recycling and manufacturing process. The ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) is an internationally recognized certification system for sustainable materials. This certification focuses on verifying the traceability of recycled materials based on mass balance accounting principles, and it assures that high sustainability requirements are met.
