Featuring compact elements and clean chapes, the Classic Line is the cenerpiece of the SMEG aesthetic.  Developed in conjunction with the architect Guido Canali in 1986, the line is distinctive for the way it uses stainless steel with panache, while combined with truly-timeless black glass, and can be placed in nearly any wall configuration, from a 2-product by 2-product cube, to a 4-product "T"-shape, to a 3-product linear "tryptic."

The Classic Line includes a wide selection of ovens, cooktops, hoods, coffee machines, refrigerators, microwaves, and steam ovens, all of which highlight the unique, Guido Canali-designed control knobs that have remained the same since he first made them decades ago.  Not to be forgotten are the handle designs, whose clean, refined, and modern shapes combine in a way that mimics elements of modern industrial design.
