Smeg's response to COVID-19

Here at Smeg, the health and wellbeing of our customers, our team and our third party carriers and engineers is always our top priority. We are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as it unfolds and are continuing to adapt, following the guidance issued by the government and health authorities to help keep everyone as safe as possible.

The business has taken several precautions including cyclical working and we continue to closely monitor the pandemic situation. All customers requesting technical support from an engineer are being screened and appointments being booked as appropriate or pushed out to a future date where a customer is self-isolating.

The same advice applies to our home delivery services requiring delivery or installation into a chosen room, which will take place safely if not isolating or no sign of symptoms. In the event of isolation, our nominated home delivery carrier will confirm your options when they contact you or your customer. Both our staff and carriers are taking further measures in handling of product through the use of gloves during calls, deep cleaning vehicles regularly and drivers making use of hand sanitizer and hand washing regularly through the day.

We currently hold good stock levels across the many of our ranges with our warehouse continuing to remain open with a reduced workforce where required. Some of our retailers have been forced to close due to the outbreak, so please check availability and delivery with them first.
