Porsche x SMEG wins the Plus X Award 2026

A jury of industry experts honors the home appliance collection as an extraor-dinary symbiosis of automotive engineering and Italian design tradition, evalu-ating it in the categories High Quality, Design, Ease of Use, and Functionality.

The home appliances from the Porsche x Smeg design line have been honored with the prestigious Plus X Award. An expert jury made up of trade journalists, designers, and industry specialists took a close look at the collection, which emerged from a close design collaboration between the two brands. The jury members did not focus only on appearance. In addition to the design language, the choice of surfaces and colors, the overall quality of the appliances also played a key role. The judges commended Smeg for its meticulous workmanship, durable materials, and high-end technical components.

Porsche x Smeg takes home the Plus X Award 2026

The Plus X Award goes to the entire Porsche x Smeg collection. It includes a limited edition to 1,970 numbered units of a striking red fridge and a matching bean to cup coffee machine, inspired by the legendary Porsche 917 KH in its iconic Salzburg livery — the car that secured Porsche’s first overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970. The collaboration extends into two additional exclusive ranges, finished in Carrara White and Shade Green— distinctive Porsche hues interpreted through the lens of Italian design. Featuring a curated suite of Smeg’s most beloved appliances, including the FAB28 fridge, toaster, kettle, and blender, each piece is refined with signature Porsche design cues: matte black accents, subtle striping, and clean, sculptural silhouettes.
