New Category Launches Adorn SMEG's Retro Niche

Introducing a High-Design Knife Block and XL Refrigerator/Freezer

SMEG is thrilled to announce the expansion of its iconic ‘50s Retro Style product assortment with the launch of a 6-Piece Knife Block Set, and the new FAB38 Refrigerator. Evoking the unmistakable shapes and atmosphere of the ‘50s, SMEG’s retro extension comes as an exciting adaptation catered to home cooks looking for a high-design style that delivers unbeatable functionality.

For the first time ever in the North American market, SMEG is making a cutlery debut. The new 6-Piece Knife Block Set serves as a sleek kitchen countertop essential, and features the same iconic retro form consumers have come to know and love. The full set includes six knives: a Vegetable Knife, a Utility Knife, a Meat Knife, a Santoku Knife, a Bread Knife, and a Chef’s Knife, each featuring a German stainless steel blade and handle. A matching 6-slot acacia wood base holds the set together, which is wrapped in a powder-coated, carbon steel body with anti-slip grip, and is available in Cream, Black, and Pastel Blue colorways.

Meanwhile, as one of SMEG’s most-beloved and recognized products, the ‘50s-inspired FAB refrigerator series has long been a staple in the brand’s portfolio, and with the launch of the FAB38, SMEG is expanding its current lineup to launch the roomiest version of the appliance available to-date. Inclusive of a refrigerator and freezer combination, the 18 cu. ft., EnergyStar®-qualified FAB38 is over 3 inches wider, deeper, and taller than the FAB32 model, standing at over 27 inches wide, 33 inches deep, and 80 inches tall. The new model is ideal for the consumer looking for extra storage space, and features a Multiflow cooling system with electronic temperature controls, four shelves, innovative “No Frost” technology that prevents icy build-up in the freezer, and more.

Black, Cream and White colorways are available in both left and right-hinge models, and Pastel Blue, Pastel Green and Red are available in right-hinge only.
