Prepare the affogato al caffè (coffee affogato) by whipping the liquid cream. If you prefer, you can lightly sweeten it by adding a little icing sugar.

Put one or two scoops of cream-flavoured or vanilla ice cream in a glass cup.

Add coffee: you can either pour the espresso coffee directly into the same cup or serve it in a small ceramic pot and let everyone fill their own cup.

Finish by adding whipped cream and drizzle with a little cocoa powder.
Cocoa powder can be substituted with a chocolate topping, or some melted dark chocolate.
