Tiramisu

Thick, creamy and indulgent. Enjoy this delicious authentic Italian recipe for a traditional tiramisu.

Ingredients

300 ml fresh espresso – 5 double shots
2 tbsp Marsala
300 g Ladyfingers, or homemade sponge
500 g Mascarpone
4 medium eggs
100 g Caster sugar
Unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting

Proceedings

Weigh all the ingredients and whip eggs and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Next, add the mascarpone and continue to whisk until smooth. Finally, whisk the egg whites until stiff and gently add them to the mixture, mixing from the bottom upwards.

Prepare the coffee with the Smeg coffee machine and leave it to cool. Dip the ladyfingers in the coffee, without over-soaking them.

Compose the tiramisù by alternating a layer of ladyfingers and a layer of cream, until all ingredients are used up.

Complete with a sprinkling of bitter cocoa for a refined finishing touch. Finally, place in the refrigerator and leave to set.
