Coffee affogato

With cream, ice cream and the mouth-watering creaminess of espresso coffee, the affogato al caffè (coffee affogato) is perfect either as a dessert or for a small, sweet treat throughout the day.

Espresso coffee, 25-30 ml shot
40 g Cream-flavoured or vanilla ice cream
Fresh liquid cream, to taste
Cocoa powder, to taste

How do you want to cook the recipe?

Start preparing the affogato al caffè (coffee affogato) by whipping the liquid cream. If you prefer, you can lightly sweeten it by adding a little icing sugar.

Put one or two scoops of cream-flavoured or vanilla ice cream in a tall glass cup.
Now add the coffee: you can either pour the espresso coffee directly into the same cup or serve it in a small ceramic pot and let everyone fill their own cup.

Top the cup by adding the whipped cream and drizzle with a little cocoa powder.

If you prefer, you can substitute the cocoa powder with a chocolate topping, or some melted dark chocolate.
