Teriyaki Tofu

Crisp on the outside and tender within, this tofu dish is coated in a glossy sauce made with soy, ginger, garlic and a touch of vinegar. Finished with sesame seeds for added texture, it’s a light, flavourful recipe that’s quick to prepare and perfect for everyday meals.

Ingredients

Tofu, 4 rolls
2 tbsp Fresh ginger
4 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp Sugar
70 ml Soy sauce
2 tbsp White vinegar
Garlic powder, 1 pinch

Proceedings

Place the soy sauce, garlic powder, white vinegar, sugar and ginger in a bowl. Add corn starch and water, then mix until a smooth sauce is obtained. Then cut the tofu into pieces.

Heat a little oil in a frying pan and add the tofu and brown the tofu and add the prepared sauce, a few minutes on each side.

Finish cooking until a thick and enveloping consistency is achieved. Finally, serve and top with sesame seeds for a crunchy touch.
